Kickstart Your 2024: Run for a Reason with Burning Nights CRPS Support

As we step into 2024, many of us are setting goals and New Year’s resolutions to make a positive change. Why not kickstart your plans with a unique resolution that challenges you and contributes to a positive cause that supports thousands each year?

Burning Nights CRPS Support invites you to join our team for the Great North Run 2024 and the Great Manchester Run 10K 2024; two exhilarating events where your participation can make a significant difference to the lives of others.

Running for a Reason

Joining Team Burning Nights in these runs isn’t just about physical endurance; it’s about standing in solidarity with those affected by Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

With four places available in each event, you have the chance to be part of something big; showing a powerful gesture of support for our mission to change the lives of individuals living with CRPS.

And don’t forget, your fundraising efforts will directly support us in providing assistance and information to those battling CRPS, including facilitating our Virtual Befriending Service, access to free CRPS Counselling & Therapy Service, our Helpline and more!

Inspiration from Our Fundraisers

Our fundraisers, past and present, are a source of great encouragement.

Take Corben, for example, who ran the Liverpool Marathon (yes, all 26 miles!) for Burning Nights in 2021, raising a staggering £1100.

His wife, Amy, who has been living with CRPS since 2019, is the primary reason for his truly inspirational dedication and fundraising efforts for the charity. You can check out Corben’s full story here.

Our very own Charity Administrator, Lucy, along with her dad, Phil, also completed both the Great Manchester Run 10K and the Great North Run Half Marathon in aid of Burning Nights in 2023.

Lucy’s commitment, resulting in a fantastic £905 raised, is an extraordinary example of how personal challenges can fuel our collective mission. Lucy’s experience, training, and crossing the finish line with her father, symbolises the spirit of unity and determination that we cherish at Burning Nights.

Not a Runner? Other Ways to Fundraise

We recognise that not everyone can participate in running events; however, your support is still invaluable.

By spreading the word about these opportunities, you can play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts. Sharing this information with friends, family, and colleagues who might be interested in taking up the challenge can spread the word about CRPS and Burning Nights just as much as taking part in the event itself.

There are also numerous other ways you can get involved and support our cause, from hosting local events to engaging in creative fundraising activities.

Every fundraising effort, no matter the size of the event, is a fantastic contribution to our mission.

Discover the various ways you can make a difference by visiting our Fundraising Events page, checking out our A-Z Fundraising Ideas or downloading our brand-new Fundraising Pack.
