Burning Nights Meet n Greet 4 CRPS Sufferers announcement BURNING NIGHTS MEET & GREET EVENT

Burning Nights CRPS Support Meet & Greet Event

Our first ever Burning Nights CRPS Support meet & greet event is now over!

The Burning Nights CRPS Support team would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who came along to the event on Saturday 7th November 2015 at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel.

We would also like to thank all of the speakers who gave up their time to speak at our event and produce videos and presentations to show everyone.

The day was superb and we received some great feedback from everyone. The main comments we received were that everyone was delighted to finally actually meet other sufferers, families, carers and loved ones face to face instead of behind a computer or on social media. This has given us the start we need and we will be holding another event next year!

There were several announcements of good news during our Burning Nights Meet & Greet event on Saturday, they were the fact that Burning Nights CRPS Support is around 75% complete in becoming a charity in England & Wales, which is amazing news!

We also announced that Irwin Mitchell solicitors were becoming 1 of our main sponsors and that 1 of their serious injury solicitors was joining the board of Trustees and the final bit of good news was that Manchester Town Hall are changing the colour of their lights to orange on Monday 23rd November in support of CRPS awareness. If you are in Manchester on 23rd please visit Manchester Town Hall at Albert Square to see the lights! We will also be posting a highlight video of the day so those of you who were not able to come along will be able to see highlights. The video is being produced by Toothpix.

The VIDEO of the Meet & Greet conference day is now up on our very own YouTube channel! You can watch it here:

Irwin Mitchell are going to help us as well with setting up local support groups starting off with a pilot group in Manchester. If you live in or near Manchester and you would like to come to a regular support group then please do send us an email at info@chronicpaincrps.com or CONTACT US via the contact form.

Thank you to all the speakers on the day as well which at times was very emotional, they included:

DR JENNY LEWIS from RNHRD Bath Hospital Pain Services

MR RICHARD LOWES from BLB Solicitors in Bath

KIRSTY HUMPHREYS – CRPS sufferer

SCOTT NORLEY – CRPS sufferer

SOPHIE ETHERIDGE – CRPS sufferer

CLAIRE LACEY – carer for a CRPS sufferer

TERESA NORLEY – carer for a CRPS sufferer

CHARITY REGISTRATION

We have 5 members on our Board of Trustees including an accountant, a serious injury solicitor and 3 CRPS sufferers. You can have a look at them on our Donations page.

SPONSORSHIP

As we promised in our last blog and as we explained at the Meet & Greet event, IRWIN MITCHELL solicitors have agreed to come on board and become 1 of our main sponsors, which is just great news! They have decided that not only will they give us sponsorship but will also amongst other things help us begin Local Support Groups around the country, starting with a pilot group in Manchester. Irwin Mitchell’s are allowing us to use their office space mainly after 5pm for local support groups. This is a great opportunity to actually regularly meet other sufferers face to face to chat, swap tips and gain support from others with the same condition as you. At the beginning we will be holding support groups for sufferers and then eventually for carers, families, friends and loved ones.

** If you would like to come along to the support group in Manchester please send us an email and let us know or send us a message via our CONTACT US form. Our email address is info@chronicpaincrps.com

1 of Irwin Mitchell’s solicitors are also joining the board of Trustees of Burning Nights when our charity registration has completed. Altaf Patel is a serious injury solicitor and will be a great asset and support to us.

MANCHESTER TOWN HALL

Manchester Town Hall agreed to change their building lights to orange for 1 day only on MONDAY 23rd NOVEMBER 2015 in support of CRPS awareness, which was great news! Here are some fabulous pictures taken by 1 of Burning Nights CRPS Support’s followers and by a professional:

We will be sending you out a quick feedback questionnaire, if you’d like to fill it in please. If not please email us your thoughts and comments on the day to info@chronicpaincrps.com If you’re in or near Manchester and would like to come along to the pilot support group at the offices of Irwin Mitchell solicitors, please send us an email to the same email address.
