Burning Nights CRPS Support’s Reaction To Amputation For CRPS

In reaction to the news stories about amputation, Burning Nights CRPS Support’s position as a charity whilst we agree that Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and other chronic pain conditions should be included as a classification for the Paralympics.

We do not believe that amputation is the best course of action as a treatment for CRPS, unless there are specific reasons concerning the health and welfare of the person, such as ulceration, sepsis or skin breakdown.
